Has anyone actually tried one of these babies yet? They look SWEET - kinda like Sabian's take on a Constantinople... but do they sound like that too? Anyone have more info on this?

    -Chris-

P.S. On average what does a medium zildjian constantinople ride go for new and used these days?

This was the BEST new cymbal at NAMM IMHO. It was better than a new Zildjian Const. and would give a 50 year old K a run for the money. At least, that's what I experienced with the few I played at NAMM...

This is what it looks like if people are wondering.

It looks so Un-Sabian to me. Wish I could get my hands on one of those.

Holy! That is gonna be ONE EXPENSIVE RIDE! Worth every cent I bet... it's beautiful.

So, Danny... you played A FEW of these??? How did the sound differ from one Artisan Ride to the next?

Though I have been experimenting with Zildjians lately, I would rather play Sabian exclusively... always have played Sabian

I have ALWAYS loved Sabians rides... moreso that Zildjian's. I think they have more character, well, for jazz-type stuff. I LOVE my 20" HH Manhattan... i am very curious to check these out. I never really liked the Constants' very much... i liked hearing other people play them, but when i would, i just didn't like the feel and the sound that i, MYSELF, would get. I like Sabians, for me, a whole lot more...

...hmmm someone tell me more about these

My friends who just got back could NOT STOP raving about these... they said that they sound so much like 50's K's, that it would blow your mind. They said that they blow away the new Constant's.

Heard even the Zildjian guys were freakin' over them

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Well, I think Sabian would be a good source to get this info from, so that is where I went for info. At 40% more, a 20" would go for over $300.

i'm in agreement with danny here. i tried 'em myself. also tried their crashes. they all sounded amazing to me.

once again, i thought the paragon series were quite a standout as well.
